If you have more than one child in dance, then you may come at the earliest time on the schedule that your child is in to pick up your tickets for ALL of your
children. If you are unable to come to ticket day to pick up your tickets, then you must send a signed note in with whoever is picking up your tickets.  You
cannot pick up your tickets in any other time slot except for the one your child is in, even if you are sending in a signed note with another student.  YOU
CAN ONLY PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS DURING YOUR SCHEDULED TIME SLOT, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Each student will be allowed to purchase 12 tickets for the recital. If you are letting another student purchase some of your allotted tickets, you must also
have a signed note saying that you are releasing your tickets to this student. The cost for each ticket is $8.00.  If everyone follows these rules, ticket day
will run very smoothly.  ALL TUITIONS AND ALL COSTUMES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOU WILL BE
ALLOWED TO PURCHASE YOUR ALLOTTED TICKETS.  YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL MARCH 31ST TO PAY
YOUR BILLS IN FULL.  PLEASE, NO EXCEPTIONS.

When you come to ticket day, each family will pick up a form from Deanna that will have the following info on it:
1-        Remaining tuition and costume balances (THESE BALANCES SHOULD BE ZERO BY TICKET DAY). If you have a
remaining balance, you will have to pay Deanna at the door before you will be allowed to go to the tables to purchase tickets.
2-         The number of tickets you are purchasing. ($8.00 each)
3-        DVD by Duane McCubrey of the recital, $23.00 which must be paid on ticket day.
4-        Photos by Kim will be purchased on her website and therefore there will be no photo cd of the recital to be purchased at ticket day.
5-        Pre-registration for Dance camp, $20.00 which will give you your camp T-shirt free for early registration.

After you have purchased your tickets, you will take this form to Vicki to cash you out.  Ticket day is a “cash only” day as we have had too many problems
with bounced checks in the past.  I know this is a pain but please understand that we need to get each class in an out in just 30 minutes so we need to all be
prepared.  I will also have a clearance table of goods and clothing on that day to make room for the fall new apparel line.  Thanks for your cooperation.

NOTE:  We need to see all of your Sunday Dresses for the Sound of Music finale.  This is your costume for the finale and we have to ok it on ticket
day!!!  Astaire’s and Pavlova’s do not need Sunday dresses as they will wear their long dresses for the finale.  Everyone else must wear their Sunday Best
for Finale.

DVD and CD:
Duane and Kim will both be at recital doing what they do best.  The cost for the Recital DVD is $23.00 for this amazing keepsake.  We do not allow
anyone to bring tri pods to the recital for videotaping or picture taking therefore, no one is allowed out of their seats to do either. Kim will post the recital
photos on her website so that you may purchase the ones you like directly from this site.

Studio Photos by Duane:

Studio photos will take place on March 23, 24 and 25, 2010 during our regularly scheduled classes.  We will take group photos at the beginning of each
class so it is IMPERATIVE THAT YOU BE ON TIME FOR CLASS THAT WEEK OR YOU WILL MISS YOUR CHILD’
S GROUP PHOTO.  We will not re-take the group photo if your child is late as we have to take a group shot of 2 classes and then all individual shots
need to be taken during your child’s dance class.  We will still have dance class that week so your children still need to bring all of their dance shoes and
tapes to class.  Your child will have to come to class dressed in the costume that we have chosen for the group shots however, your child may wear the
costume of his/her choice for their individual shot.  All children must participate in studio photos but you are not required to purchase any.  Duane has
always been good to our studio and has made this affordable for all of you.  You will be given a price list and an envelope the week of March 15th so that
you may fill out the forms before coming to class.  Please do this in advance as there are 35 students needing to have their individual shots done each hour.
You must come prepared or we will get very backed up and this is not fun for anyone.  Please make sure your children are “recital ready”, this means that they
must come to pictures with correct hair, tights, costume and make-up.  No exceptions.  Be prepared for your child’s single poses as Duane will not be able
to set each student up as this requires too much time.   On Tuesday, March 23, 2010 we want the Allen students to arrive at 3:30pm so that they can start
taking their individual pictures before class.  Below is the schedule for all pictures and remember, all group pictures take place at the beginning of each class
so please, be on time for class otherwise, you will miss the group picture.
All students who have danced 12 or more years at TMDA will have to have a
head shot done for our “Wall of Fame”.
You will need to sign up for these pictures in the office by February 25, 2010 so that we can properly plan for
them.   Below is a list of costumes for all groups.

Pen Drives and Boots:
I am asking you to make double sure that you have the correct pen drive and the correct boots before you leave TMDA.  We are continuing to have an
issue with pen drives and boots being taken, mistakenly!!    I implore you to double check your child’s boots as it is difficult for us to be continually looking
for boots or pen drives that are missing.  Thanks for helping us!

Alyssa Irving is missing her cream Uggs…they were taken 3 weeks ago in between Tiny and Mini and then Sparks and Troupe.  Please if you have cream
to tan Uggs, you might have a size 7 and your 8’s are in the studio waiting for their correct owner.

One more note on Pen Drives:  YOU MUST DELETE OLD CHOROEGRAPHY FROM YOUR PEN DRIVES.  AFTER
YOU COPY THE CHOREOGRAPHY TO YOUR COMPUTER, YOU MUST DELETE IT FROM YOUR PEN
DRIVE.  WE ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING TO DELETE PEN DRIVES BEFORE ADDING NEW
CHOREOGRAPHY TO THEM AND THIS IS SLOWING US DOWN HORRIBLY.  PLEASE HELP US IN
GETTING THESE PEN DRIVES DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION.

New York City Trip:
There is a mandatory NYC trip meeting on March 8, 2010 at 7pm for all going on our trip.  (You will be notified in class on Tuesday if you are part of our
NYC trip) All students,  Chaperones and a parent of each student going on the trip is REQUIRED to be at this mandatory meeting.
ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. We will discuss our NYC schedule, sight seeing costs, and final costs of the planned trip.  We need a
parent to sign release forms as well.  This is a very important meeting and many items will be voted on so if you are not there, you will have to adhere to what
has been decided upon.  Please, clear your schedule and be at this meeting.  All students on this trip MUST be at this meeting.

Summer Dance Camp:
This is a very tentative date but dance camp will be July 20th thru July 23, 2010.  It will be a one week intensive camp as in the past.  We have secured
Jordyn and Mallory again for our guest instructors and as I secure more, I will post them on our website.  This camp will be for 5 year olds and up and we
will again offer an adult dance camp if the numbers are high enough.  If you sign up for dance camp at ticket day, (or before May 15, 2010) you will receive
your t-shirt for free, otherwise, it will be $10.00 at dance camp. I will have further news concerning dance camp in the April newsletter.  I am sorry this is a little
late but I decided to do a week dance camp with guest instructors after the feedback I received from you parents.  Note:  If you bring a new person to
dance camp that is not involved with TMDA, you will receive half off your dance camp tuition (Adults not included).  These will be the age groups:
5-7 yr olds, 8-10 yr olds, 11-13 yr olds, 14+  and adult class.
Cost for Summer Dance Camp 2010:              5-7 yr olds:  $70.00 with free t-shirt for pre-registration
                                                                                                   8-18yr olds: $110.00 with free t-shirt for pre-registration
                                                                                                  Adults:  $50.00 with free t-shirt for pre-registration

RECITAL DECORATIONS:
As always, we are asking you to make a recital decoration with your child’s picture on it to decorate C-Pac.  This year we are making a musical note to
commemorate The Sound of Music and Billy Elliot.   I will have a sample of the size of the musical note at April’s parent watch for you to copy so that all
of you will have plenty of time to make them and get them to your Designated Moms.  Please do not make them to heavy (use card board or poster board
only) as they do not stick to the walls of C-Pac.  These musical notes will be due on May 4 and 5, 2010 (which is the last week of full classes before recital
week) and you will hand them in to your DM’s of each class.

Extra Dance Practices:
Up until now, we have had very few extra practices.  However, recital season is upon us and we need to call some group practices before dress rehearsal.  It
is so imperative that you bring your children to these extra practices…..it will facilitate a smooth dress recital.

of The Sound of Music.  Please memorize all of your dialogue.

Sign Ups:
I have posted sign-ups for recital and dress rehearsal.  We ask that each parent sign up for at least one item so that we have everything we need for recital.
The concession stand will be donated to dance camp, the NYC trip and the Kori Ellis Scholarship Fund so please donate to this table.  The 50-50
tickets sales will be separated between dance camp and NYC while the flower stand will be solely for the NYC trip.  I will need people to man all of these
fundraisers so please email me if you can help with any of these tables.

That is all for March 2010.  We only have 8 dance weeks left before our recital…can you believe it?  We start teaching our finale songs next week and
