| THE MAINE DANCE ACADEMY |

| The Maine Dance Academy, located in Caribou, Maine, first opened in August 1994 under the direction of Colleen E. DuPlissie. It has served the Northern Maine area for the past 15 years, teaching students from age 2 through adult, and students from as far as Fort Kent and Mars Hill. The Academy has 4 instructors and 12 assistant instructors. Students at TMDA are instructed in jazz, tap, lyrical ballet, hip-hop, highland, Celtic soft shoe, tap, and theatrical jazz. All dancers are placed according to talent level. Our dance year runs from September to May. In addition to our annual dance recital, held at the Caribou Performing Arts Center, our dancers perform at various Christmas performances, local area pageants, and other fund-raisers. Our Academy has developed a strong reputation, and several of our students have furthered their dance careers at the collegiate level and beyond. Our goals are not only to teach children dance, but to help each child maximize their physical, mental, and social development resulting from well organized dance programs with highly qualified, certified instructors. Our studio is located at 15 Sweden Street, Suite 3 in Caribou, Maine, our studio phone number is 207-498-4027; the annual dance recital is held at the Caribou Performing Arts Center, adjacent to Caribou High School. We hope we see you soon! |
